"OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR"

"What is God's will for my life"? There it is a question we don’t get tired of asking. If God had a web site with a FAQ's page, certainly this one would be at the top 3 ... possibly somewhere around "God, should I get married or should I buy a bicycle?" (a Brazilian saying illustrating the ultimate undecided person) :0)
Every now and then we find ourselves facing a decision to be made in relation to our future and we pause to find out which of the options before us is the will of God. In fact, this is an authentic question, for it is the utmost goal of every genuine Christian to do God's will. So, what is the answer for this question? The answer is in the rear view mirror. I discovered early in my Christian walk that one of the few ways we recognize God's will is when we look back. We can clearly see God’s will through the rear view mirrors of life.
I explain it. When we look back, we realize that the events, circumstances, successes, and even failures we faced in our journey were responsible for where we are today. Like multiple lines interwoven together to form a beautifully design tapestry, through the mirror I see the people, places and events joining together to form my story. Only then I can understand the sovereign will of God presenting itself in every detail. But then you ask me: So what, Marcelo? Do I get married or buy the bike? hehehe ... My answer is: YOU DECIDE!
You are the one who decides the course of your own life here on this earth. Don't get me wrong; I totally believe in the sovereignty of our matchless God, but our lives are placed before us as a gift from Him to be lived in its fullest! Just like what we see through our windshield, God puts before us a highway full of opportunities and adventures for us to experience in His presence. He already gave us what we’ll need for the journey: the GPS (the Word), fuel (the Holy Spirit), and the friends with whom we’ll enjoy the road trip together (the Church). Anywhere we want to go, the 'map' is all we need. Doesn't a map on aGPS always show a view from above of the entire trip… with its starting point, turns, and final destination? How often do we check the ‘GPS’?
Here is the key secret: We see the God's will in the rear view mirror and not through the windshield, but we can’t live our lives constantly looking back. We can't afford spending the precious years the Lord has given us waiting for the fulfillment of a 'prophetic word’ we’ve received some thirteen years ago or for a dream we never write down the plan to accomplish. Keep glancing at the rear view mirror once and a while, but keep your eyes fixed on the road ahead. If you're reading the ‘Map’ right He will lead you toward His will without you even noticing. No matter who will cross your path, whether if it is through only a few words read on your blog, or through a long-lasting relationship… you will be a blessing to all. After all, our Divine guide promised to be with us always, until the very end.
The truth is that the center of the God's will is closer than you think... just like the words on the passenger side rear view mirror. So enjoy your journey and please always remember... "the objects in mirror are closer than they appear'!
In the love of the Lamb, Marcelão!
